Frequently Asked Questions

Questions people ask when the conversation gets real.

Do I need life insurance if I have coverage through work?

Work coverage may be valuable, but ask how much it provides, whether it is portable if you leave the job, and whether it would meet your family’s needs. Individual coverage may be worth discussing depending on your goals and budget.

Am I too old to buy life insurance?

Available options depend on age, health, medications, tobacco use, desired amount, product, state, and underwriting. A short conversation can help identify what questions to explore.

Can life insurance help while I’m living?

Some policies may include living-benefit riders that allow eligible insureds to access part of a death benefit after a qualifying covered event. Definitions, exclusions, costs, and eligibility vary by policy.

Is an IUL a retirement account?

No. An IUL is permanent life insurance, not a traditional retirement account or direct stock-market investment. It may be considered in some long-term strategies when appropriately structured, funded, and managed.

What’s the difference between burial insurance and final expense insurance?

The terms are often used similarly for life insurance intended to help with funeral, burial, cremation, bills, and other final costs. The actual policy terms and benefit structure matter more than the label.

Does supplemental insurance replace health insurance?

No. Supplemental insurance is designed to work alongside major medical coverage, not replace it. Benefits depend on the policy and qualifying event.
