About Sasha

Insurance Should Feel Like a Conversation, Not a Lecture.

A comfortable place to ask the questions you may have been afraid, embarrassed, or simply too overwhelmed to ask.

Hi, I’m Sasha.

Why Insurance Therapy?

Because sometimes you need to talk it out.

I’m Natasha N. Jones-Harris, better known as Sasha—the woman behind Insurance Therapy with Sasha. I started in the insurance industry over 15 years ago, and one thing has stayed with me: people deserve to understand what they’re paying for.

Whether the conversation was about health insurance, life insurance, retirement, or budgeting, I kept hearing the same thing: “I have something… I’m just not sure what it does.” Some clients weren’t sure what they needed. Others had purchased a policy years ago, tucked it away, and never looked at it again.

That policy had been sitting in a drawer so long, it practically owed them rent.

I created Insurance Therapy with Sasha because too many people have insurance policies they don’t fully understand. They know they have coverage, but they may not understand their deductible, coinsurance, life insurance amount, living benefits, final-expense options, retirement strategies, or where financial gaps may exist.

And I get it. Insurance can feel like learning a whole new language—with a monthly bill attached. My strength is breaking it down into plain language, everyday examples, and a conversation that actually makes sense.

Sometimes we start with “What does this policy cover?” and end up talking about the kids, retirement, and who in the family can be trusted with the paperwork. So yes, it can feel a little like a therapy session—just with more policy pages and fewer throw pillows.

You can ask the question twice. You can bring the policy you haven’t opened. You can say, “Sasha, I still don’t get it.” We’ll slow down and talk it through.

Either way, I’ve got you. Let’s make insurance make sense.

My goal is clarity—not pressure.

My goal is not to overwhelm people with insurance terminology or pressure them into buying something they don’t understand.

My goal is to talk through what they have, explain options in plain language, and help them ask better questions about protecting their health, income, family, retirement, and legacy.

Come in. Ask the question. Let’s make insurance make sense.

Education Before the Application

I don’t believe the application should come before the education.

You deserve to understand the decision before you make it.

That means taking time to discuss coverage, premiums, benefits, limitations, exclusions, waiting periods, cash value, beneficiaries, living benefits, retirement goals, and other concepts relevant to your situation.

Options depend on your goals, budget, eligibility, health, age, state, and the specific policy or contract. A real conversation helps put those details in context.

  1. Listen First.
  2. Educate Clearly.
  3. Identify the Gaps.
  4. Discuss Your Options.
  5. Make an Informed Decision.

This Is Bigger Than Selling Insurance

Protection is personal.

It touches the people you love, your financial preparedness, serious illness, final expenses, retirement, and the legacy you hope to leave.

Insurance conversations often begin with a policy, but they are really about people: who relies on you, what you have worked to build, and how you want your family to move forward if life changes unexpectedly.

You don’t have to know insurance. You just need a safe place to ask the questions.
